摘要
近年来国际汉语教学事业获得了空前发展,然而国际汉语教学界行业内外的一些人士或者忽视学科建设,或者把事业的发展当成学科的发展。本文采用文献回顾法和对比分析法,进一步明确:国际汉语教学既是一项事业也是一门学科,根本上说二者不是一回事。不能把事业的发展当成学科的发展,应关注学科自身的发展;发展事业的同时不能忽视学科建设。本文认为,国际汉语教学事业是一项以汉语教学为依托、以学科建设成果为支撑的事业;国际汉语教学学科是一门以汉语教学研究为主体、以支撑事业发展为重要建设目标的学科。因此,事业与学科应相互促进,共同发展。
Teaching Chinese as an international language has been developing at an unprecedented pace in recent years.However, it is found that some of the teachers and educators have either ignored the importance to build the discipline of this field or have equated discipline building with its profession development.To this end,through literature review and comparative analysis,this paper seeks to clarify that discipline building and profession development are both essential parts yet fundamentally different concepts.It further explains that profession development shall not be equated with the discipline building and thus more attentions should be paid to the development of the discipline per se,which is in fact an integral part for profession development.This paper ends by arguing that profession development is dependent on quality Chinese language teaching and achievements of discipline building.In a similar sense,the discipline development is subject to teaching and research with an aim of profession development. Therefore,the study encourages a balanced development for profession development and discipline building for mutual benefits.
