摘要
8254 是一个拥有3个16 位计数通道的可编程计数器,它不仅使用方便,而且价格便宜。但是用其记录核脉冲,如果处理不当,则会出现计数错误。即使核脉冲信号频率远远小于计数器的最高计数频率,也还是会产生计数错误。因此,在核脉冲被送入计数器之前,需要采取一定的措施以避免计数错误的产生。讨论了应用8254 时应考虑的几个方面。
is a feasible and cheap programmable counter with 3 16 bit channels. But when it is used for the measurement of nuclear pulse,if the nuclear signals are not shaped properly,it may often cause errors,though the count rate is much lower than the maximum frequency of counter.So some special shaping technologies should be used before the pulses are fed to a counter. In this paper,some methods of counting the nuclear pulses by the programmable counter were described in detail.
