中国佛教的梵呗、读诵传统非外来,源于中国本土,是中国上古礼乐的延续和继承。中国佛教僧团对于中国古乐的保存起到了重要作用,中国后世流传的吟诵腔调与寺院的传承有着重要关系。一些亦僧亦文的出家人和大量信佛、好佛文人在由宗教吟诵向世俗吟诵转化的过程中发挥了重要作用。对中国佛教僧团中流传不绝的唱赞、吟诵文化,应给予高度重视和研究,对于我们深入认识中国古代的吟诵传统具有重要意义。

Chinese traditional Buddhist chanting did not originate abroad but from the Chinese mainland as a continuation and inheritance of the ancient rites. Chinese Buddhist Sangha has played an important role in the preservation of ancient Chinese music, and there is an important relationship between the later spread chanting accent and the monastic heritage. Some monks and scholars believing in Buddhism played an important role in the transformation process form the religious reciting to the secular chanting. It is of great significance for our in - depth understanding of China＇s ancient chant tradition to study the chanting culture of Chinese Buddhist Sangha.
