基于Bell翻译过程模式的语义表征中介概念层面的实证研究

A Verification Study of Bell's Semantic-representation-as-mediation Translating Model

为了验证Bell翻译过程模式以语义表征为双语转换加工中介的理论假设,用某高校本科商贸英语专业一年级和四年级学生各40名,以证伪方式,采用认知科学的L2图画命名和L2图名称翻译组合范式,用E-prime编制实验程序,在概念层面设计并实施以L2命名图画和用L2对图名称汉译英的实验任务,收集并对比两个任务中被试平均正确反应时的差异,实验结果推翻虚无假设,接受备择假设,即双语者两种语义表征系统不存在心理空间距离,双语语义表征是同一、共享的,是双语转换加工的中介。

In order to verify Rodger Bell＇s theoretical hypothesis of semantic representation as mediation of bilingual translation processes,this paper makes use of combined experimental paradigms with a falsification method of L2 picture naming and L2 picture name translating in cognitive science.Such two tasks were designed and carried out in conceptual level via E-prime program with 40 subjects of college English majors,first and forth year each.Response times were collected and compared,whose result showed rejection of null hypothesis and acceptance of alternative hypothesis,suggesting that there is no psychological spatial distance between bilinguals＇ two semantic representational systems;and that bilingual semantic representation is shared and functions as the mediation of translation processes.
