Teaching Reform in English Intensive Reading Course

英语精读课是英语教学中的主要课程。传统的英语精读课教学模式逐渐显出弊端,不利于提高学生的自主学习能力和语言交际能力。为改变精读课沉闷呆板的课堂气氛,教师可以尝试提问法、讨论法、归纳法、角色调换法等新的教学方法引导学生在精读课上主动积极、自信、活跃地参与课堂活动,从而扎实打下语言基础,提高英语的听说读写能力。

English intensive reading course is tile main course in college English teaching. There are some disadvantages in tradi- tional intensive reading course teaching, which are not good to improve students＇ ability of autonomous study and foreign language com- munication. Teachers can introduce some new teaching methods such as raising questions, seminar, summary, role-change ere, in or- der to change the dull and passive class atmosphere in the course. In this way, students will become positive, confident, active in course activities and their English ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing will be improved.
