"资源的诅咒"经济现象的存在激起了人们关于其传导路径的讨论。本文研究发现,资源禀赋对地区经济增长的负面影响通过弱化制度环境而产生。具体地,当地区资源越丰富时,对知识产权的保护较弱,企业寻租更为盛行,地方保护主义加重,且非国有经济的发展滞后。由于制度是地区经济增长的重要决定因素,进一步的分析显示,这种因资源富裕而引起的制度弱化降低了地区经济增长率。本文研究还表明,资源禀赋对制度环境的作用也影响了"荷兰病"、价格波动及资金误配等"资源的诅咒"其他传导路径。

The paradox＂ Resource Curse＂ leads to hot discussion of its channel. The paper studies how resource endowments exercise influence upon economic growth through affecting regional institution. It＇ s found that regions with an abundance of resources tend to have weak institution. Specifically, intellectual property right is poor, rent - seeking is ag- gressive, regional protectionism is serious and private economy is underdeveloped. Since institution is an important deter- minant of economic growth, the weak institution caused by resource endowments slows the growth of regional economy. Fi- nally, the paper provides an empirical evidence that other influencing mechanisms of＂ Resource Curse＂, including＂ Dutch Disease＂, revenue volatility, and capital misallocation are also affected by such institution deterioration.
