胡适的《沁园春·誓诗》是一篇文学革命宣言书,它以豪放劲健、纵横凌云之笔批评了中国近代文学无病呻吟的恶习惯,以毋庸置疑、不容争辩的口气公开声明自己要扯起文学革命大旗、尝试作文学革命之急先锋和健儿的宏阔抱负。该词作所表现出的文学革命思想及其豪放劲健、纵横凌云之风格,既与西方的进化论对他的影响有关,也与中国传统文化对他的影响有关,是近代中西文化冲突与融合下的产物。
