方言对五台山地区的佛教文化和其他文化的发展、记载、传承起了不可低估的作用。笔者通过长期对五台山佛教文化地区方言的调查和研究,认为不仅语音和语法富有特点,而且词汇和语汇也非常丰富。文章从语音、词汇、语法三个方面谈了五台山佛教文化地区七个市县的方言概况,揭示了各自的特点与相互联系和差异。
