从研究海南岛昌化古镇的特点着手,确定以建设特色风情镇区作为昌化古镇的保护和更新的途径。具体是指通过镇区空间形态的调整,功能的转换等策略,完善和强化镇区特色。这一途径可引导其它古镇的保护与更新。

Starting from the study of traditional Changhua town characteristics, this study attempts to establish the protection and renewal ways which is to construct special characteristic town. That is, through adjusting the space form and switching the function, the traditional Changhua town can improve and strengthen its characteristics. This way can guide the protection and renewal of traditional towns.
