新疆少数民族传统体育项目作为社会文化生活的浓缩点,可折射出各历史时期民族发展的轨迹,是研究各少数民族传统文化的活化石,古老而年轻,但又有濒临遗失的危险。提出通过举办少数民族传统体育运动会可以与少数民族文化战略、网络媒体、旅游相结合促进比赛促发展,同时还可以借比赛扩大少数民族传统体育后备人才培养基地,并进一步提升科研能力,从而对少数民族传统体育的传承与保护起到积极而重要的作用。

The traditional sports events of Xinjiang minority nationality can be taken as the social and cultural life of concentrating point, which reflects the historical development path, it＇s the living fossil, old and young, to study of the traditional ethnic culture while in the risk of loss. By holding the mi- nority traditional sports games with minority culture strategies, network media, combining tourism, we can promote the competition and its development, at the same time we can also take advantage of competition to expand minority traditional sports and reserve talents training base, then further promote the scientific research ability, in short, it plays a positive and important role of the Minority Traditional Sports inheritance and protection.
