Comparison of Concentration Camp Literature between Weixi Cong and Solzhenlsyn

从维熙与索尔仁尼琴分别是中苏"大墙文学"的代表作家,他们的作品以上个世纪的劳改营为背景,描写了一批因政治运动而被劳改之人的命运。两位作家特别关注了劳改犯们在环境极其恶劣的劳改营里人性的善良之处,中国作家从维熙笔下的人物都有着"圣人"式的善良——似真金般,不论身处何境都能以中国传统道德意义上的"善"去帮助他人;而索尔仁尼琴笔下的人物则心怀基督式的怜悯之善,充满着生命的情怀,活出自己的原则与立场。

Weixi Cong and Solzhenlsyn are the representative authors of Concentration Camp Literature in China and in the former Soviet Union last century; their novels describe a number of prisoners＇ fate on the concentration camp because of the political movement. The two authors show especial concern for the goodness of prisoners under hostile conditions on concentration camp： the characters portrayed by Chinese author Weixi Cong have the qualities of Saint like the real gold, they are ready to help others kindly no matter where they are to follow the Chinese traditional morals; while, the characters portrayed by Solzhenlsyn have the commiseration just like the God, full of the motion of life, with their own principles and by their own ways.
