College Students in the Construction of Harmonious Communities:Their Modes of Participation and Countermeasures

推动大学生参与高校所在社区的社会管理和社会建设,既有助于高等学校与所在社区战略合作关系的建立,维护社区安全与稳定,增强社区居民的归属感和提高社区自治水平,同时可以锻炼大学生的素质和能力,帮助大学生及早适应社会和融入社会。在对和谐社会与和谐社区的内涵和特征进行界定的基础上,探讨了大学生参与和谐社区建设的主要方式和对策,为和谐社区的创建提供了有益的借鉴。

College students＇ participation in the management and construction of the community where their own college locates helps to establish a strategic cooperative relationship between the college and the community. On the one hand, it maintains the community＇s safety, stability and autonomy, and strength- ens the residents＇ sense of belonging. On the other hand, this participation improves the students＇ mental quality and ability which weigh heavily in their adaptation to society. On the basis of analyzing the conno- tations and features of harmonious society and communities, this paper discusses the major modes and countermeasures through which college students participate in the construction. Such a study can serve as reference for the establishment of a harmonious community.
