本文对近代日本（1853—1945）的成功及其历史经验作了较为全面的概述：首先阐述了日本明治维新的成功，在指出其具有两重性的同时，实事求是、客观地对其历史经验进行了综述；其次，对近代日本走上军国主义岐途的历史渊源、产生原因、形成发展过程及其特点作了较为全面的阐述，并深刻归纳出军国日本败亡的惨痛教训；最后，还对近代日本成败得失的历史启示进行了具体阐述。

This paper makes a comprehensive overview on Modern Japan （ 1853 - 1945） and its historical suc- cessful experience ： first on the success of the Meiji Reformation of Japan, summarized objectively the historical ex- perience, at the same time, shows its duality. Secondly, comprehensively and deeply summed up the lessons of the militarism of Japan to defeat, development process and characteristics of the formation of historical origin, milita- rism misled causes, expounds; Finally, discussed history enlightenment of the success and failure of modern Ja- pan.
