《奥斯卡与露辛达》是彼得.凯里六部与帝国殖民史相关小说之一。本文在后殖民主义的视角下分析作品中三位性格迥异的牧师形象。以此来说明,澳洲大陆不是被发现的"历史",而英国宣称通过玻璃和教堂给澳洲带来的工业与文明也是站不住脚的。

Oscar and Lucinda is one of Peter Carey＇s six novels related to empires＇ colonial histories. The thesis analyzes the images of three priests with quite different personalities in this work from the perspective of post-colonialism. Though this, it expounds that the Australia continent was not the discovered ＂history＂ and that Britain＇s proclamation for the industry and civilization of Australia brought by glass and churches is untenable.
