英语惯用语丰富隽永。本文拟从历史、文学及价值观等角度探讨英语惯用语的文化渊源,并提出对英语惯用语的直译、意译和套译等汉译策略。

English idioms are a fascinating part of this language. This paper is to analyze their cultural origins from the perspectives of history, literature and value, and at the same time to propose three translation approaches including literal translation, free translation, and naturalization translation.
