Zhu Ziqing is a famous essayist in modem literature history of China. His prose is simple, exquisite, elegant, pure and fresh and he created the prose system and style with national characteristics by combining Chinese and western culture on the basis of profound classical literature. Many of his works have become classic masterpieces with universal praise. Both the content and the form brought a fresh atmosphere for the literary world at that time and his works became the model essays of Chinese textbooks. As a master of prose, his name will be always written in the history of modem Chinese larose.
