通过具体的实例，对日本当代建筑的创作手法和创作风格进行分析，探讨了日本当代建筑在传统继承、新技术运用和环境意识等方面的表现，说明日本在吸收西方外来文化精华的基础上，发展形成了自己独特的符合日本传统审美心理的当代建筑文化，同时日本的城市建设实践也向世界提供了典型的经验．意在唤醒中国建筑师的历史责任感，走一条符合中国国情的现代建筑之路．

The paper analyses the creative manner and styles of the contemporary architecture in Japan through the concrete instance and inquires the expression of the Japanese contemporary architecture in the aspects: carrying forwards the traditions, utilizing of new technology, environmental consciousness etc.. Although the culture of Japanese contemporary architectural founded on assimilating nutriment of other culture come from the Western, it has been developed and merged the culture of its own which matches the traditional aesthetic conception in Japan. At the same time, the practices of the city reconstruction also give the typical experience for the world. The main purpose of the article is to wake up the Chinese architects' responsibility on history and to take their own way of the contemporary architecture, which matches the condition of China.
