The structure selection and the whole design process were introduced based on Hainan International Conference and Exhibition Center and Nanjing Youth Olympic Centre from the common perspective of structural engineers and architects.Through the collision of thinking and requirement among owner,structural engineers and architects,influencing factors and the relation among them were deeply analyzed.The importance of well combination between structure selection and architectural effect and the design thinking method were put forward.The purpose is trying to provide reference for the growing building structure designers and design groups.
