终明一代,入附中原的撒马儿罕回回人达十余批。明朝廷将其安插于南、北二京等地,他们从军、从政、经商,成为明代回回民族的重要组成部分。撒马儿罕回回人中影响较大的当属马政家族。马政家族成员曾连续三代出任明朝使节,经年穿梭于漠北与中原地区,为明朝与周边地方政权间政治、经济、文化交流作出了杰出的贡献。

During the Ming dynasty, there were a dozen batches Samarkand Hui who entered the centrat plains region. The Ming dynasty government settled them in Nanjing, Beijing and other places. They either joined the ar- my, or politics, or business, and became an important component of the ethnic Hui group in the Ming dynasty. Ma zheng family had a great impact in Samarkand Hui. The members of Ma＇ s family had three generations in a row as envoys of the Ming dynasty, who traveled across the Mobei and the central plains all the year round . They made a number contributions to the political, economic and cultural exchanges across the Ming dynasty and the surroundinglocal authorities.
