The application of educational technology in vocational colleges not only brings the full of vitality for teaching, but also play an important role in optimization of teaching effect. "Design and Service for Meeting and Banquet" is a major course of food and beverage core curriculum for hotel management in vocational colleges by the means of the optimization of teaching design with information technology, the construction of the digital li- brary to consolidate teaching conditions, the construction of the interactive platform to improve the teaching ef- fect and the full use of the internet to broaden knowledge for students to effectively improve the teaching effect.
