中国学习者英语口语产出中程式化序列使用型式研究 被引量:11

Usage Patterns of Formulaic Sequences in Chinese EFL Learners' Oral Production

摘要 本文以SECOPETS语料库为基础,采用中介语对比分析的研究方法,从对程式化序列的依赖程度和高频程式化序列功能特征两方面探讨了中国英语学习者口语产出中常用程式化序列的使用型式。结果表明,中国英语学习者口语产出呈现程式化序列多用、少用和误用的混合型式。中国英语学习者明显过多依赖英语中高频程式化序列而过少使用英语中频数较低但对英语本族语来说具有较高心理凸显性的惯例化表达方式。就功能而言,中国英语学习者明显过多地依赖立场标记语和语篇标记语,而过少使用回应标记语、修正标记语和话轮调节语。研究结果在一定程度上反映了中国英语学习者和英语本族语者心理短语库构成模式的差异,为我们理解中国英语学习者口语产出策略提供了新视角。 Based on SECOPETS, the present study, using the Contrastive Interlanguage Analysis approach,investigates the usage patterns of formulaic sequences in Chinese EFL learners' oral production. The issue is explored from two different perspectives:the extent to which the Chinese EFL learners depend on the formulaic sequences and the functional features of these multi-word units. The study revealed a mixed pattern of overuse, underuse and misuse of formulaic sequences. Further analysis indicated that Chinese EFL learners rely heavily on high-fre- quency formulaic sequences, but that they underuse less frequent,strongly associated ones (i. e. items which are probably highly salient for native speakers of English). As far as functions are concerned, Chinese EFL learners rely heavily on formulaic sequences marking stance and discourse, but underuse those marking response, repair and turn-regulation. The findings ,to a certain extent, reflect the differences in the composition of the phrasicon between Chinese EFL learners and native speakers of English. They also provide us new insights into Chinese EFL learners' preferred strategies for oral production.
