Zhou Huaiyanpg professor of the School of Marine and Earth Science at Tongji University in Shanghai, waves after completing his journey in China＇s manned deep-sea submersibleJiaolong in South China Sea on June 18. With the scientist as its first ＂passenger,＂Jiaolong＇s missions this time included experiments on its position- ing system, biological surveying and geological sampling in the Pacific Ocean.
