在中国 ,民族风情的审美往往与悟道联系在一起。庄子认为“天地有大美而不言” ,审美者只有超越感性知性 ,并敞亮心灵的第三层面 ,才能领会美。旅游者在进行旅游活动时 ,面对民族风情产生的审美观照 ,往往是源于旅游目的地中所见所闻所感而产生的强烈情感体验。用西方哲人柏拉图的话说就是“灵魂遍体沸腾跳动”和一种“惊喜不能自制”

According to Chinese philosophy, the enjoyment of ethnic customs is a part of the process of cognitive awareness. Zhuangzi, the great ancient Chinese philosopher, held that the beauty of the universe was beyond description but could be realized by instinct: the third dimension of the mind. A tourist's aesthetic reference, produced by enjoying ethnic customs, usually comes from the strong emotional experience from what he sees or hears. At this point, he may be “wild with joy”.
