都市叙事提供了一个分析和理解沈从文及其创作的切入点。沈从文的都市叙事在一定程度上反映了作家所经历的跨文化交流中的"文化冲击"及其体验。这种"文化冲击"以城乡文化冲击和苗汉文化冲击的方式体现出来。城乡文化冲击使沈从文的都市叙事以都市批判的方式展开,苗汉文化冲击则使他选择了人性视角来进行他的都市批判。沈从文的都市和乡土,都只是一种想像的存在物。

Metropolis narrative is a very important part of Shen Congwen＇s novels. It not only reflects Shen Congwen＇s experiences and understanding about the 1920s and 1930s, but also gives us a perspective to analyze and understand Shen Congwen and his work. Metropolis narrative of Shen Congwen reflected the ＂culture shock＂ of communication between cultures that Shen Congwen has experienced. It manifests the urban-rural and Miao- Han culture shocks. They had made Shen Congwen turn to metropolis critique. He criticized the metropolis from the humanist stance. In a word, both metropolis and countryside in Shen Congwen＇s works are imaginative products.
