Objective To evaluate the effect of the complicated hypertension in diabetic patients on the new-onset eardio-eerebro-vascular events (CCVE) in women. Methods In this prospective cohort study, the 1477 women T2DM patients were selected from a total of 101510 employees of Kailuan Group for analysis. The follow-up lasted for (48.05±3. 09) months. Results In the hypertension-complicated diabetes group, the averaged age, BMI, SBP, DBP, pulse pressure, TG, SUA, and high sensitivity C-reaction protein (hsC-RP) were all higher than in diabetes group with normal blood pressure (P〈0. 05). In the hypertension-complicated diabetes group, the incidence of total CCVE, cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, and cerebral hemorrhage events was 4. 6%, 2.6%, 1.0%, and 1.0% respectively, higher than in diabetes group with normal blood pressure, of them, there was a statistical difference in the incidence of total CCVE and cerebral infarction events (P〈0. 05). Cox proportional hazard model showed the higher risk for the total CCVE(RR: 2.66), and for cerebral infarction events (RR: 2. 96) for the female diabetic patients complicated with hypertension. Conclusion The risk of the new-onset cardio-cerebro-vascular events is higher in the female T2DM patients complicated with hypertension.
