Descartes' Faith and the Fundamental Principle of His Science——On the Cartesian Circle

虽然,笛卡尔论证科学基本原则的前提和结论中包含共同的命题形式,但是,它们的命题主项却不相同。结论中的主项是思维的对象,但是,前提中的主项,首先是信任情感的对象,其次才是思维的对象。正是基于这一信任情感,笛卡尔确立了其科学基本原则。理解笛卡尔的科学基本原则,应该抓住笛卡尔的这一信任情感。

Although the premise and the conclusion by which Descartes demonstrated the fundamental principle of his science pertain to the same form of proposition, their subjects are different. In the argument ,the subject of the comelusion is the object to think about ,the subject of the premise would be the object that Descartes was faith in rather than the one that he thought about. At the basic of the faith, Descartes proves the fundamental principle of his science. So we have to consider Descartes＇ faith to explain the fundamental principle of his science.
