General Professional Education:New Thinking in Journalistic Teaching Reform

通识教育已成为我国高等教育培养复合型人才的一种常规模式,但是对通识教育的认识存在着误区。通识性教育不应是通识性课程与专业课程的简单相加,也应当体现在专业课程的教育之中,即通识性专业教育。这也是新闻教学改革的新思维和新方向。作者在大学普通班和自考助学班教授新闻学课程多年,深感通识性教育的重要。这里,本文主要站在教师的角度分析在新闻教学改革中倡导通识性专业教育的现实张力和面对的挑战。

General education has become a conventional pattern to train versatile talented personnel in Chinese higher education. However, some misunderstandings also exist in the recognition of general education. General education is not a combination of general education curriculum and specialized courses. Instead it should be embodied in the education of professional courses, which means general professional education. That is the new thinking and new direction in journalistic teaching reform. This paper mainly analyzes the realistic tension and challenges we face in advocating general professional education in journalistic teaching reform.
