摘要 目的观察细胞间黏附分子-1(intercellular adhesion molecule-1,ICAM-1)蛋白在甲状腺乳头状癌和滤泡状癌组织中的表达及其与临床病理特征之间的关系,探讨其在两种肿瘤鉴别诊断中的意义。方法采用免疫组化EnVision法检测51例乳头状癌、20例滤泡状癌、30例滤泡状腺瘤和17例腺瘤样甲状腺肿组织芯片中ICAM-1蛋白的表达。结果 ICAM-1蛋白表达仅在甲状腺乳头状癌组织中高表达(39/51)(P<0.01),在甲状腺滤泡状癌、滤泡状腺瘤和腺瘤样甲状腺肿组织中均阴性,ICAM-1蛋白表达与乳头状癌的淋巴结转移密切相关(P<0.01)。结论检测甲状腺乳头状癌组织中ICAM-1蛋白的表达成为甲状腺癌的鉴别诊断及判断预后的重要辅助参考指标。 Purpose To study the expression of ICAM-I in thyroid papillary carcinomas and follicular carcinomas and to evaluate its correlation with pathological clinical features and differential diagnosis of the papillary carcinomas and follicular carcinomas. Methods Fifty-one papillary carcinomas, 20 follicular carcinomas, 30 follicular adenomas, and 17 thyroid adenomatous goiters tissue microar- ray samples were analyzed for ICAM-1 expression by immuuohistochemistry using EnVision method. Results The expression of ICAM- 1 was increased only in papillary carcinomas (39/51) (P 〈 0. 01 ) , while that in follicular carcinoma, follicular adenoma, and adeno- matous goiter were all negative. We detected apical membrane staining of ICAM-1 in thyroid papillary carcinoma gland epithelium. Mo- reover the increased expression of ICAM-1 in papillary carcinoma was closely related to the lymph node metastasis ( P 〈 0. 01 ). Con- clusions ICAM-1 expression in thyroid papillary carcinomas might be a important marker for differential diagnosis and evaluation of prognosis in patients with thyroid papillary carcinoma.
