高血压病已成为世界性中老年的常见病、多发病,分为原发性和继发性两种。其中原发性高血压病占全部高血压病患者的绝大多数,却只有少数人得到了理想控制,所以越来越引起人们的重视。中医古籍中并无高血压病病名的记载,也没有对于该病病因病机及辨证论治方面的具体论述,而是散见于各系统疾病中。其基本病因有情志失调、饮食失宜、先天不足、气血精亏,基本病机可分为虚实两端,虚为气血亏虚,实则与风、火、痰、瘀等病理因素有关。
