Diversified Family Patterns in America Based on “Desperate Housewives”

随着现代人家庭思想观念的开放,美国家庭模式也发生着日新月异的变化。原本广泛存在于20世纪上半叶的传统男主外女主内形式的家庭,在美国不再占有绝对的主导地位,未婚同居家庭、离异家庭、再婚家庭、异族通婚家庭以及同性恋家庭开始呈增长趋势。文章从社会的发展、科学和历史方面,论述了美国家庭模式变迁的过程及原因。

The American family patterns have been changing along with people＇s ideas a- bout modern family. Breadwinner-homemaker family, the so-called traditional family, popular in the half of 20th century, no longer predominates in the United States. In the meanwhile, the number of unmarried cohabitation families, divorced families, remarried blended families, inter- racial marriage families and homosexual families kept increasing continuously. The process as well as causes for the change of family patterns is analyzed from the perspective of social devel- opment, science and history.
