摘要乔治·艾略特是19世纪英国伟大的女性小说家,她一生创作了多部具有深刻影响力的文学作品,而宗教道德的探讨和诠释一直贯穿作品始终。从艾略特的生活背景、宗教道德观形成过程以及对宗教的认知形式等方面,探讨艾略特文学作品中的宗教道德观。 George Eliot, a well-known female England novelist of Victoria times, has written several profound and influential novels, all of which thoroughly deal with religious and moral topics . This paper discusses George Eliot＇ s religious and moral ideas from such perspectives as her life background , how her religious and moral ideas takes shape and the traits and form of her religious recognition.
