The Theoretical strand of postfeminism is a mixed product of the feminism, postmodernism and postcolonism. Criticizing monolithic statement, dualism and essentialism, posffeminism embraces the contradiction and diversity as the inherent component. It attributes the female oppression to the power of patriarchal discourse and disciplinary gaze. Marge Piercy＇ s Woman on the edge of time, characterized by its postfeminist thought, presents two opposite societies （Utopia and dystopia） through the protagonist＇s time travel. Not only does it make bold attempts to deconstruct patriarchal society and redefines women＇ s identity, but also it progresses in racial issues.
