本文通过阐述"印宗秦汉"提出的历史背景及这一理念的历史发展,分析秦汉印自身的独特魅力,说明"印宗秦汉"理念的提出是秦汉以后印学衰落的现实要求,而这一理念得以实现是历史的必然,进而指出"印宗秦汉"的要义是精神上的回归秦汉,主张在实践上要做到"古中求新,新中见古"。

This paper states the background and the historical development of the theory of ＂Imitate the Seal of Qin and Ham Dynasty＂, and analyses the unique charm of the Qin and Han seal. The writer puts forward the view that it is the practical requirement of the seal knowledge in that period because of the decline of seal discipline after Qin and Han Dynasty. It is a historical necessity that this theory is papular again. Then the writer points out that the essence of the theory is returning to the Qin and Han spiritually, and advocates that we should pursue innovation and value the ancient achievements.
