论《植物名实图考》的学术价值

吴其濬不仅是清代一位高级官员,还是一位出色的植物学学家,著有《植物名实图考长编》、《植物名实图考》等植物学著作。其中《植物名实图考》是我国第一部以植物命名的植物学专著,我国历代本草书以医药研究为中心,救荒书以食用为中心,而该书则从植物学的角度出发,主要描述植物的产地、形态、生态习性。吴其濬通过实地调查进行考证,对所见植物均一一绘图著录,使植物名实相符。《植物名实图考》还保存了古籍内容,并注意对文献的考订、辨伪,不轻信盲从。
