According to development history of medical engineering, this article expounded the domestic and international development direction on development and research, management, maintenance and quality control of medical equipment. It also discussed the action and role of biomedical engineering in the hospital construction and development, including equipment management, maintenance, quality guarantee and computation. It provide thinking and help for the graduate on biomedical engineering to exert their function during the hospital construction.
