摘要
在吉登斯的《现代性的后果》一书中,对现代性制度性维度分析构成此书的一条主线。吉登斯批判性地继承了社会学经典三大家的现代性理论,创造性地提出了军事力量也是现代性的一个维度。现代性导致的全球化同样有四个维度。现代性是一个双重现象,既有光明的一面,也有阴暗的一面。吉登斯关于现代性的四个维度的阐释有助于我们理解现代社会并作出最合适的选择。
The analysis on dimensions of modernity constituted the major rules of the book The Conse- quences of Modernity by Giddens. Giddens inherited the modernity theory of Weber, Durkheim and Marx Critically, but also proposed that military force constitute the modernity, too. Modernity is duality. Both promising side and dark side are included. This book helps us understand modern society and make the best choice.
