The Interpretation of Ancient Chinese Poetry about "Shudao" in Jianmenguan

剑门蜀道集险、雄、幽、秀于一体,名震中外。古往今来,无数墨客骚人纷至沓来,他们寄身于瀚墨、见意于篇章,成就了汪汪洋洋的剑门蜀道诗歌。剑门蜀道诗歌按时间可以划分为古典诗歌和现代诗歌,在一千四百余篇古典诗歌中,大体可以分为三类:一、表达建功立业难于上青天的人生感慨;二、抒写忧国忧民的忧患意识;三、抒发对剑门蜀道景致、历史、古迹的感怀。

＂Shudao＂ in Jianmenguan, the only marvelous path leading into Sichuan Basin in ancient China, has been renowned around the world for its embodiment of danger, grandness, quietness and elegance. Though the ages, innumerous men of letters visited here and left literature that represents their experience and feelings upon the overwhelming landscape, which constitutes the great collection of poems about ＂ Shudao＂ in Jianmenguan. These poems can be chronologically divided into ancient poetry and modem poetry. Among over 1400 ancient poems, three types can be classified： poems expressing regrets towards difficulties in establishing achievement, poems an- nouncing worries about the fate of Chinese people and nation and poems reflecting the landscape, history and histor- ic sites along ＂Shudao＂ in Jianmenguan.
