The limitation of low-strain pulse echo method in the PHC piles testing are analyzed, and the principle of the method with video monitor through the hole of foundation, and the application of the instrument are introduced. The advantages of this method such as objective, precise and capable of quantity analysis are preveded with some engineering cases.
