东汉赵岐的《孟子章句》是流传至今最早章句体训诂著作之一,训诂体例和方法极具代表性。解释句意是《孟子章句》最重要的训诂内容。在释句时,根据文意的不同需要,赵岐综合运用了多种方法。文章探讨了《孟子章句》的释句方法,认为其释句方法可归纳为翻译和解说两大类,每类下又可细分为若干小类。

Zhaoqi＇s Mengzi Zhangju is one of the first works on exegesis in Zhangju form which are preserved today. Its scholiastic form and methods are very representative. Interpreting sentences is the most important scholiastic contents of Mengzi Zhangju. Zhaoqi used all kinds of methods when he interpreted sentences. In this article, the methods of interpreting sentences of Mengzi Zhangju were expounded, the methods were summarized two categories, which included translating and explaining. And in every category, there were a number of sub-categories.
