作为中世纪西方文化主体的基督教，在吸收“两希”文明的基础上，主导和促进了中世纪理性的发展，引起了近代西方科学的出现，也就是说，基督教帮助中世纪西方文化完成了其在人类理性演进史中应有之使命。

Christianity,as a significant part in the Western culture, has lead and helped to improve the development of reason in the Middle-Ages, While absorbing the Greek and Hebrew civilization, which has contributed to the coming-up of the western morden science. In other words, Christianity has helped the western culture in the Middle-Ages to fulfil its role in the evolution of haman reason.
