During Japanese invading China, Japan Buddhist Circles ever dispatched military monks to China battlefield. Because of their special identity, they could ply from one battlefield to another one freely, so their records on war became the important materials to research the history. This paper shows a Caodong sect military monk' s sees and hears during his travelling form Shanghai to Nanjing. Although he did not experience the Nanjing massacre when he arrived, he still expressed his worry about the fate of Nanjing with a few isolated words and phrases.
