Agriculture Improvement in Jiangsu by the Chinese Vocational Educational Institute in 1920-30s

黄炎培领导的中华职业教育社在江苏建立了一系列农村改进试验区。这些试验区将发展农村经济、改善农民生活作为首要任务,开展了颇具规模的农业改良活动,取得了较为显著的成效。但由于社会制度方面的缺陷,中华职业教育社农业改良的成效也是有限的,不可能使江苏农业经济从根本上摆脱萧条的困境。

The Chinese Vocational Educational Institute led by Huang Yan-pei established a series of rural experimental areas. These areas took the development of rural economy and the improvement of peasants＇ life as their first task. They carried out large-scale agricultural improvement activities, and made some remarkable achievements. However, due to the defects of social system, agricultural improvement effect made by the Chinese Vocational Educational Institute was limited, which could not make agricultural economy in Jiangsu fundamentally out from depression dilemma.
