Characteristic curve of centrifugal pump is very important for the understanding to the performance of pumps and economic and reasonable usage of pumps. It was verified that impeller cutting of the 1# pump set was infeasible after comparison and analysis of the real tested efficiency of the pump sets in Huating Pump Station and the existing operational mode of pump station, and the existing operational mode of pump station was reasonable. It had a directive importance for the operation of the pump station.
