基于专门用途英语(ESP)语料库的词汇研究——探索大学英语教师向ESP教师转型的途径

Lexical Research Based on English for Specific Purposes(ESP) Corpora——Exploring the Ways of Transition for Teachers of EGP to ESP

我国目前的大学英语教育基本上停留在一般用途英语(EGP)教学阶段,然而大学英语教学向专门用途英语(ESP)教学转型是我国高等教育国际化的必然趋势。因此,大学英语教师要向ESP教师转型。基于ESP语料库的词汇研究能够揭示专业文本中的词汇特征和语言模式,能够帮助大学英语教师解决ESP专业词汇和专业知识缺乏的问题,从而实现向ESP教师的转型。

Current Chinese college English teaching still remains the teaching of English for General Purpos- es （EGP）, but the transition from EGP teaching to ESP teaching is an inevitable trend. Therefore, teachers of EGP must turn into ESP practitioners. Lexical research based on ESP corpora can reveal the lexical features and language structures and modes of ESP texts, thus helping college English teachers master ESP lexes and special- ized knowledge and realizing the transition from EGP teaching to ESP teaching.
