Radio frequency interference (RFI) can severely degrade the performance of very high speed digital subscriber lines (VDSL). On the basis of the discussion of several RFI cancelling methods, this paper gives an efficient method of cancelling RFI based on parameter estimation and the computer simulations with MATLAB have been carried out. It is shown from the simulation that 60 dB SIR improvement can be achieved with the proposed method.
