旧志校注谈

旧志校注是与古人对话、阐释古人的行文意图,而旧志中所涉及的许多人名、物名、事件、礼仪、制度、书籍等,今人并不熟悉,要准确清楚的注释,需要有不畏艰苦、乐于奉献的精神。旧志校注要求注释词语吻合原义。对于一词多义的情况,要选择最恰当的含义进行注释,而不能仅罗列含义,方能体现出校注者对原文理解准确,注释到位。对旧志中的难点、疑点,要多方考证,注释清楚。

The collation and annotation of old local records is to dialogue with people in the past,and to interpret their intentions of writing.However,many of the names,proper names,events,etiquettes,institutions,and books covered by old local records are not well known by people in the present.To have clear and precise annotations,we need commitment and dedication.The collation and annotation of old local records require explanatory words identical to the original meaning.In cases of polysemy,the most appropriate meaning has to be chosen to make the explanatory notes instead of mere listing of meanings,so as to demonstrate the collator's precise understanding of the original texts.Difficult and doubtful points in old local records have to be examined and researched by multiple parties and clearly annotated.
