明嘉靖年间王宗沐首修与万历年间陆万垓增修的《江西省大志》,是一部以经济史为主的通志,其重要的史料价值表现在:一是对明代江西赋税与徭役的记载是有关明代江西史料中最全面最详细的,具有不可替代的史料价值;二是对明代江西制瓷业与造纸业的记载成为研究明代中国造纸业与制陶业的珍贵史料;三是对水利、防卫、藩府等的记载也具有一定的史料价值。

Jiangxi Sheng Da Zhi of the Ming Dynasty,first compiled by Wang Zongmu during the Reign of Emperor Jiajing,supplemented by Lu Wangai during the Reign of Emperor Wanli,is a general local records mainly focused on economic history.Its important historical values are displayed through the following:1.Its recordings of taxes and corvee in Ming Dynasty Jiangxi are the most comprehensive and most detailed among historical references and are of irreplaceable historical value;2.Its recordings of the porcelain industry and paper industry in Ming Dynasty Jiangxi are precious historical references for research in those areas;3.Its recordings of irrigation,defense,and feudal princes also bear certain value as historical references.
