Since it was published, Wuthering Heights has attracted so many readers home and abroad with its passionate and complicated love story between the hero and the heroine. This paper tries to explore the novel from the perspective of psychological ＂ego＂, combined with Maslow＇s theory of humanism philosophy, to dig out the fundamental reasons for its tragical ending, and therefore to make the readers understand it more deeply, but not lust stop at the surface of the love story.
