Based on the wear form of the brick used in copper making converter, the superior magnesia chrome brick with proper structure and excellent properties was developed by taking technical measures of increasing Cr 2O 3 content, adding additives and sintered magnesia chrome synthetic clinkers. Compared with the original one, the new brick has increased the service life of the converter by 1.5 times.
