摘要
新中国建立以来,经过几代人艰苦努力,我国地理科学取得了巨大的进展。尤其是党的十一届三中全会以来,由于国家大规模经济建设的需要和改革开放条件下广大地理工作者积极性与创造性的充分发挥,使地理科学发展出现了空前繁荣的大好局面。然而,经过80年代轰轰烈烈的为国民经济建设服务的科研实践以后,大家共同感到加强总结与升华,在促进学科建设的基础上使地理科学更好地为国家的社会主义建设服务成为一个普遍性的突出问题。
China's geography system is characterized by its richness in material accumulation as well as its weakness in systematrza-tion.In order to establish a scientific system of geography in China, we must introduce the ideas and methods of the systems theory in an all-around way and foster and gradually determine the characteristics of its own.We should put the emphasis on giving full play to the professionals, raising the academic levels and inspire the academic results.As for the measures we should make more people know the importance and take an active part in the research. an academic institute-China's Institute of
Geography System-should be set up to
take the lead.
